Dr. Sue asked Santa this year for a trip to Paris and Santa came through! She even got to go with Santa. Dr. Sue knows she should try some other places when she travels, but she has a mad attraction to the city. Every time she returns, she rethinks food.

  1. Eat smaller portions
  2. Buy smaller dishes
  3. Eat fresh fruit for dessert
  4. Return to fat – cream, butter, and steak.
  5. Eat only at meals
  6. Eat a little bit of everything
  7. Have wine with lunch and dinner
  8. Go slow

Outstanding meals in Paris:

  1. Cheese and wine tasting lunch with harriet welty www.hwelty.com
  2. Dinner at L’Ardoise
  3. Lamb sandwich on Rue des Rosiers
  4. Poulet Roti from Rue de Bretagne
  5. Cepe lasagna from take-out Italian on Rue de Bretagne
  6. Crepe on Ile de la Cite
  7. Dinner at Le Pamphlet
  8. Quiche and Tarte Tatin at the Apero hosted by our friends
  9. Soup from a box (my Parisian friend said it was, “Very French.” )
  10. Cous cous at Chez Omar
  11. Cocktails in the “bar panoramique” on the 56 th floor of the Tour Montparnasse.

When we got back from France, I was inspired to make a Salade Nicoise. It took a bit longer than 5 minutes, but well worth the effort. If you’d like to make this, here’s how:
